When you learn the tarot, you enter a fascinating world of symbolism, full of characters drawn from mythologies, Gods and Goddesses linked to astrology, the science of numbers, and the mysterious court cards.

These are the cards that make even the most seasoned tarot readers scratch their heads because they can be so elusive during a reading. Sometimes the tarot court cards speak clearly and loudly (Knight of Wands, anyone?), but other times, the message is elusive and dreamy (the realm of the Page of Cups).

Who is the cat lady? The fishmonger? The life of the party? The explosive entrepreneur? The Nobel laureate? Jokes aside, who are these mysterious figures that can make a reading come to life?

How can a hierarchical system of Pages, Knights, Queens, and Kings from the Middle Ages still be relevant today?

You'll explore all these questions and more when you embark on a journey to learn the tarot court cards.

This is not a textbook course focused on memorizing keywords and generic meanings. Instead, it is a ground-breaking tarot court cards course built on 40 years of knowledge, research, and personal experience from Oephebia's tarot readings.

It is based on the deep, personal connection Oephebia has developed with the cards.

The mystery of the tarot is open to many interpretations and schools of thought, and we are all eternal students.

A Note on Prerequisites 

Please understand that this course is not for beginners, and requires an advanced level with the tarot.

Seasoned and Professional readers are welcome too!

If you are new to tarot, Oephebia recommends building a solid foundation by first taking the Awakening Tarot course (or a similar introductory course).

The course is based exclusively on the Rider-Waite-Smith deck.

 

 

What you will explore

Unlike other tarot courses, you won't just learn about the cards: you'll master Oephebia’s carefully crafted "6 Pointers" and "Quadrant" system.

The "6 pointers" method is not only useful for the court cards but also for the major and minor arcana.

You'll also learn the "Quadrant" system, which provides an almost forensic understanding of each court card.

The course is divided into five lessons.

 

 

Lesson 1: Psychological Profiles of the Tarot Court Cards and all the Court Pages

• You will examine the hierarchy of the court cards and their psychological profiles using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, as inspired by Mary K.Greer.
• The Page of Cups, Page of Wands, Page of Pentacles, and Page of Swords will take you on a merry dance as you discover the subtle hierarchy among the Pages, revealed by what they wear on their heads and feet!

 

 

Lesson 2: The Knights

• Did you know that the different breeds of horses offer a subtle but powerful hint at the hierarchy of the Knights?
• Or that their spurs are a coded message about the Knights and their elements?
• You will delve into medieval warfare and discover how the armets worn by these young, dashing Knights provide even more information.

 

 

Lesson 3: The Queens

• You will learn about the power of the Sages and nurturers: the real power behind the throne!
• The Queens will give you hints about their complex psychological profiles through their clothing, thrones, elements, and the direction they face.
• The Queen of Cups with her mermaid infants, the Queen of Wands with her black cat, the Queen of Pentacles with the hare, and the Queen of Swords with her butterflies will unlock their secrets.

 

 

Lesson 4: The Kings

• You will meet the stewards and elders of the four suits, who represent the supreme power of the court cards, a power that is well understood, polished, and refined.
• You will look at leadership from a different angle and see how these kings have shaped their suits by understanding their dual nature.

 

 

Lesson 5: An Audience with the Court Cards

• You will put what we've learned into practice by doing readings with spreads specifically designed by Oephebia.
• Unlike generic spreads, these have been crafted with great care and attention for each of the tarot court cards.
• They'll help you unravel psychological and spiritual insights you never knew you had, empowering you to navigate the choppy waters of life's journey.

 

 

Tarot Court Card exercises

This course requires you to have not only a good general knowledge of the tarot but also enough time to do the exercises.

These exercises are designed to test your knowledge, encourage you to research (Wikipedia will be your friend!), help you develop a different way of seeing the cards, and understand the symbolism-rich fairy tales, legends, and folklore that match the tarot.

In other words, you will immerse yourself in a different world, and to do so, you will need time to grasp the true essence of the Tarot court cards!

 

 

One-on-one Tarot lessons

Each lesson is a two-hour, one-on-one session with Oephebia, conducted via WhatsApp, Google Meet, or Instagram.

The entire course includes 10 hours of private tuition (5 lessons).

These private, one-on-one tuitions guarantee a tailored learning experience, complete with direct feedback and personal interaction with Oephebia.

This interactive approach will help you build your confidence further and strengthen your intuition.

Study at Your Own Pace

Each lesson requires a few hours of dedicated time to complete the exercises and fully immerse yourself in the court cards.

With this in mind, a lesson twice a month is a recommended pace.

However, after the first two lessons, if you feel the pace is too intense, you have the option to switch to a monthly lesson schedule.

 

 

Tarot Court Card Fees

• £120 per lesson (£60 per hour)
• £60 cancellation fee for lessons cancelled less than 48 hours in advance

NB: The full course consists of five lessons.

• Monthly Payments: Lessons are paid for on the 1st of each month, allowing for a focused and uninterrupted learning experience.
• Full Course Payment: Payment for the entire course upfront is also an option.
